Querium

What is Querium?

Querium is an education technology company, founded in 2013 and based in Austin, Texas, that builds AI-powered STEM learning tools. Its StepWise Virtual Tutor delivers personalized short-form lessons and practice in math and science.

Key capabilities of Querium

• Step-by-step evaluation: Students submit each step and get immediate guidance.
• Progressive hints: Hints become more specific when a student is stuck.
• Mistake analysis: Analyzes errors and coaches students back on track.
• 500+ math objectives: Pre-algebra through calculus.
• Rules-based expert system: Patented system combined with symbolic algebra.
• Multi-device: Android, iOS, Chromebooks and desktop browsers.

How Querium works

A student works a problem one step at a time. StepWise checks each step with a rules-based expert system and a symbolic algebra engine, offers graded hints on request and explains mistakes. It aims to apply productive struggle rather than give answers outright.

Who uses Querium?

Students in middle school through college math, and educators and institutions that want 24/7 tutoring support.
