Open image generation models from Stability AI with a community license

Stable Diffusion is a family of open-weight image generation models from Stability AI. The current Community License covers the Stable Diffusion 3.5 suite, SDXL Turbo, Stable Audio 3.0 and Stable Fast 3D.
You download the model weights and run them locally, in your own cloud or through Stability AI services, then prompt the model to generate images. You can fine-tune the models or build LoRAs and use the derivatives commercially while staying under the revenue threshold. Organizations above $1M revenue arrange an Enterprise license.
Researchers, developers, small businesses and creators use it, and larger enterprises license it with implementation support. Individual creators and researchers can use core models freely for non-commercial work regardless of organization size.
The Community License is free for organizations under $1M annual revenue, covering commercial and non-commercial use. The Enterprise License is custom priced for organizations above that threshold, with optional custom training and consulting.
Alternatives include Civitai for community models and sharing, Craiyon for quick browser-based images, SeaArt for hosted generation, Artbreeder for blending images, and Pebblely for product photography.
